1Who we are and what these terms cover

SchoolNews CBT is a brand of Schoolnews Web Services Ltd (RC 7065422), 29 Edet Akpan Avenue, by Premier Hospital, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. These terms cover the "SchoolNews CBT: JAMB UTME" and "SchoolNews CBT: WAEC SSCE" apps on Android and iPhone, and this website. Our privacy policy explains what data the apps use.

2Independent of JAMB and WAEC

The apps are independent study tools. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the West African Examinations Council, or any other examination body. Nothing in them is official exam material or a prediction of a future paper. Practising here does not guarantee any exam result.

3Free practice and activation

• Each app is free to download and has a free practice tier. A one-time activation unlocks the full app. It is not a subscription and nothing renews.
• An activation covers one app on one phone. It is tied to that phone by the device code the app shows you.
• After activating, the app gives you a recovery code. It moves your activation to a new or reset phone, which cancels it on the old one. You can move an activation once every 90 days. If you need to move it sooner, email us.
• Activating needs an internet connection once. The app then checks about once a week when you are online. If the check cannot reach us, your activation keeps working.
• We may cancel an activation that was refunded, moved to another phone, or obtained by sharing or abusing keys. A cancelled activation returns the app to the free tier.

4Paying through Google Play or the App Store

Purchases inside the apps are made through Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone. The store takes the payment and its own terms apply to it alongside these.

Refunds for store purchases are decided by the store under its refund policy. Ask through Google Play's refund help or Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com. When a store refunds a purchase, the activation it paid for is cancelled. If you are stuck, email us and we will help where we can.

5Activation keys

You can also activate with a key bought from us or from a seller we have authorised. One key activates one app on one phone. Keys from anyone else may not work and may be cancelled. If a key you bought does not work, contact whoever sold it to you first, then us with the key and your device code.

6Using the questions

The questions, answer keys and explanations are licensed for use inside the apps. You may use them to study. You may not extract, copy, republish, sell or share them, in whole or in part, or use them to build another product.

Do not tamper with or decompile the apps, get around activation, or use the apps to cheat in a real examination.

7Accuracy and reports

The banks hold tens of thousands of questions taken from past papers, and some answers or explanations are wrong. Tap Report a problem when you find one. That is how the banks get better.

When you send a report or feedback, you let us use it to fix and improve the apps. Do not put personal information in it.

8Updates and availability

We update the apps to fix questions and improve features, and an update may change how a feature works. The apps work offline once installed, but we do not promise they will run on every phone or without errors.

9Warranty and liability

The apps are supplied as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using them or relying on their content, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the activation.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

10Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the apps means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
